This method of storage is recommended for all sleeping bags, regardless of filling type and maintains your sleeping bag’s performance fresh for a long time, as if you had just bought it. (for duck down / goose down sleeping bags) Normally, sleeping bags would not smell. In humid weathers, however, you may detect a distinct smell from the feathers. Using deodorants or cleaning with water may worsen the smell, so dry the sleeping bag in a well-ventilated shady area so the smell can evaporate. Please do not use water or deodorant.
